Sustainable Storage Solutions

In tandem with the NDC and leading institutions, we have looked to invest in environmentally efficient buildings, in order to reduce our direct emissions impact.

Constantine London West provides a secure environment within a facility designed and constructed with energy-saving and sustainable energy production systems at its core.

The storage environment has been designed to fully utilise our integrated sustainable energy systems. This both reduces the carbon footprint of Constantine London West and provides benchmark sustainability standards for our industry.

Sustainable Partnerships

We are working with Planet Mark to achieve their sustainability certification by following their robust three-step process: Measure, Engage, and Communicate. We are committed to measuring our impact, engaging everyone in the business and communicating our progress. We want to have a positive impact on the planet and society by measuring our emissions, cutting our carbon footprint, and embedding sustainability in our business practices.

Through our commitment to this process, we are currently measuring our carbon footprint and are looking forward to securing Planet Mark Business Certification for the first year. To retain Planet Mark Certification, we must reduce our measured emissions each year by a minimum target of 2.5%, but we will be targeting a 5% reduction.

Upcycling Used Materials

We have recently supported two organisations that used our bespoke wooden crates and upcycled them for important community projects.

Cosmic Constructions is an ecologically sustainable building and design social enterprise. They have most recently fabricated a new workspace for Mother House Studios which is the world's first artist studio with integrated childcare.

We also work with Rhys Pritchard, a furniture designer and maker who recently led the Re:Works programme. This collaboration between the V&A, Participatory City and residents of Barking & Dagenham gave a team of local people the skills to make stools and benches from our used crates. This seating was installed at The Great Exhibition Road Festival 2021.
